What Impresses You?

What impresses you? What leaves you with a sense of awe? Perhaps it's God's vast creative power all around us. Or maybe it's the beauty one finds in an artist's rendition of life portrayed on a canvas. Whatever it is that impresses you also has the potential of inspiring you. That which impresses the mind of man has the potential to inspire that mind toward a better life.

Being that we, God's Children . . . Christians, are an open book, an open letter for all to read; we all have the opportunity to create an atmosphere to inspire those around us. We are able to inspire those around us by leaving our impression on them. What impression are you leaving on those that come in contact with you? I always hope that the impression you are leaving is good, which in turn leads to someone being inspired by you.

But it is also true that the impression we leave might be inimical in nature. If so, there is a question we must ask ourselves, "How can I change my impression from harmful to helpful?" Here's how . . . it's easy! Let God in. There is a story in scripture where a demon possessed man had his one demon leave the life. The life was cleansed and organized, but the life did not continue that path that made it clean and organized. Therefore, scripture states, " . . . and the last state of that man is worse than the first."  Matthew 12:45, KJV

God, abiding in your heart continually will give you the advantage you need to leave a lasting, powerful, and transformative impression on the lives of those you come in contact with. This reality will therefore inspire others to achieve, or at the very least, desire that which they have seen you do. You have an incredible ability to inspire those around you by leaving your godly impressions around.

So, this Sabbath, let God in. Allow God to do what only God can do . . . change your life so that you can leave an impression that inspires others to hunger and thirst after God.

So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
