A captivating title indeed, Learning to Die, Before You Die. Now, on top of the list of the biggest fears for people is the fear of death. The only thing that tops that is the fear of public speaking! Death is one of those things that when one ponders it, one is left with a thought of what happens when we die.
While the subject matter for the spiritual thought today is not on answering that question, learning to die . . . is! But what exactly does that mean? Learning to die. I thought we just . . . die. Many don’t realize that there is something we can do now to die . . . spiritually speaking!
Perhaps one of the hardest things to do is to die, spiritually speaking. With the help of God and the preaching from Pastor Isa, we will be led to understand the meaning behind his sermonic thought. Some scriptural ideas found in Galatians 3:20, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, and in John 12:24, share this thought: a seed only produces fruit when it’s buried – destroying our pride, self, and human control.
That is a glimpse of what’s to come. May we learn from the Master today through the mouthpiece of Pastor Isa Carrillo!
